Drifting Sand have just released a new single, a cover of the Hawaiian classic “Drifting and Dreaming (Sweet Paradise),” on April 1st. The song features guest vocalist Chrishenda Fasse from the band IconX and was produced and engineered by Summer Splash producer Rick Escobar with additional engineering from Richard Bryant

BEST SUMMER EVER
Drifting Sand have just released their new single “Best Summer Ever!” The song, produced by Stevie Heger (Al Jardine, The Beach Boys) and mixed/engineered by Richard Bryant (Doobie Brothers, White Album Ensemble), features guest vocalist Al Jardine (co-founder of The Beach Boys) and will be featured on Drifting Sand’s upcoming Greatest Hit album which will include “Surfin’ With Britney” and many other surfpop classics

RODNEY ON THE ROCK!
Drifting Sand’s song “No Day’s Bad (In My Tiki Pad)” has been chosen by legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer to be on his compilation Rodney On The Rock! Vol.4. The album, to be released this year on vinyl from Geza X Records, features 18 tracks frequently heard on Rodney’s radio show on SiriusXM

NO DAY’S BAD (IN MY TIKI PAD)
Drifting Sand have recorded a new song while being SIP (sheltered in paradise). Titled “No Day’s Bad (In My Tiki Pad),” the song features special guest musician Russ Volckmann from The Aquamarines on Hawaiian lap steel guitar and was produced and engineered by Summer Splash producer Rick Escobar

SANTA CRUZ’N
Drifting Sand wish everyone a Happy New Year and kick off 2020 with a brand new video for their song “Santa Cruz’n.” This new version appeared on the FleaHab Sober Living Environment Benefit Compilation in 2019 and the new video is the band’s tribute to the city of Santa Cruz. TIKI OASIS 2019
Drifting Sand made their debut performance at Tiki Oasis 2019 and played poolside on Friday August 9th. Joined by the Tiki Oasis Go-Go Dancers, Drifting Sand delivered a summer splashin’ set featuring their surfpop classics like “Shark! Shark!” and “Surfin’ With Britney” along with beach party favorites like “California Sun",” “Surf City” and “Secret Surfin’ Spot”

FLEAHAB COMPILATION
Drifting Sand contributed a new version of “Santa Cruz’n” to the FleaHab Sober Living Environment Benefit Compilation released by Thumper Punk Records with all profits going to Santa Cruz based FleaHab. Founded by legendary big wave surfer Darryl “Flea” Virostko, the mission of FleaHab is to provide a sober living environment in Santa Cruz focused on physical activity

KFJC BATTLE OF THE SURF BANDS
Drifting Sand joined 12 other local surf bands in the 8th KFJC Battle of the Surf Bands on Saturday May 18 at the Art Boutiki in San Jose. The event was a fundraiser for KFJC 89.7FM
