The single was produced and engineered by Rick Escobar and features vocal cameos from Wookie, Eric Weaver, Breanna Gaul and the Summer Splash Girls Brittany, Lindsay and Mary. NEW DRIFTING SAND ALBUM COMING SOON
Drifting Sand continue to work on their much-anticipated new album "Summer Splash" in a secret studio in Northern California with legendary surf guitarist Rick Escobar. Some of the new song titles include Beach Tour USA, Every Day Is Summer, Santa Cruz'n, a new Beach Boys tribute called Brian Speaks For Dennis and a spaghetti western surf version of the Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood classic Sand. The album's first single, the title track Summer Splash, is now available online and the full-length album is due for release in 2013. KFJC BATTLE OF THE SURF BANDS 2013
Drifting Sand will battle fifteen other surf bands at the 6th KFJC Battle Of the Surf Bands, Sat May 18th at the Surf Spot, 4627 Pacific Coast Highway in Pacifica, CA. Cousin Mary hosts this benefit for KFJC 89.7FM and the whole event will be webcast live on KFJC.org. For more info, surf here.
