Drifting Sand are currently working on their new album, tentatively titled DS3: Revenge Of The Hodad, and some of the new song titles include Beach Tour USA, Every Day Is Summer and Brian Speaks For Dennis. The album will also feature some new surf instrumentals as well as a cover of the Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood song Sand. The album is being recorded in Burlingame, CA with a tentative release date of June 20, 2010.
Drifting Sand announce their first official show of 2010, Saturday May 1st at St James Gate in Belmont, CA. The band will be playing the outdoor ocean deck and previewing some new songs for the first time, plus the train might even go by for added Pet Sounds-like effects.
